Red Velvet is a popular cake in this world. First time I saw this cake, I already like with the color and I think about the taste should be delicious more my another favorite cake, Black Forest cake. When you buy red velvet and you slice this cake, you will see the white line between the red cake. It was so attractive and make me want to eat in a hurry.

As we know that cake is the one kind of food, which will make you're failed in the diet because the cake has high cholesterol and sugar which is not good for health if we eat too much. However, I really like red velvet. So, I will eat red velvet cake without ignored my diet. For this, I have some idea about how to make red velvet cake without felt guilty. We will use whole wheat flour for it.

If you're red velvet lovers, let join with me in this class to make healthy red velvet as I said before. First, we have to prepare all the ingredient. So. let's check this bellow:

  • 2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 3/4 sugar and sucralose blend for baking
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 3/4 cup fat-free vanilla yogurt
  • 3/4 cup fat-free cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup liquid egg
  • 3 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon skim milk 
  • 1 red food coloring or change with bit fruit or dragon fruit
  • 1 cup reduced- fat buttermilk
  • Cooking spray

How To Make Red Velvet Without Ignored Diet

Now, we will start to make red velvet as we like before. You also must have the oven to cook the cake with perfect. Before you started, here what you have to do to make red velvet without ignored diet :


  • Prepare the oven and please preheat that oven, until 175 degrees or 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  • After that, you whisk together between wheat and flour until it mixes and blends, Doesn't forget to add salt into this mixed
  • Prepare an electric mixer and set for medium speed with a large mixing bowl. Enter 3/4 the applesauce, egg substitute and 1 tablespoon sucralose blend and sugar into the mixing bowl. Start to beat all the ingredient
  • Prepare a small bowl then put the cocoa powder with the coloring red food or red fruit (dragon fruit as you like), stir it until smooth. After that mix into liquid ingredient before
  • Start to beat wheat flour mixture with the buttermilk and add 1 1/4 of vanilla extract and beat again all 


  • Prepare a small bowl and try to stir the vinegar with baking soda and then mix into batter
  • You start to pour the batter into cake pans after that tap the filled pans to remove air bubbles
  • Back to the oven which already preheated, enter the batter into it and bake it for 20 until 25 minute
  • after that, out the cake from the oven and allow to cool first before frosting
  • Now its frosting time, place the cottage cheese and vanilla yogurt into bowl and process it until smooth
  • After that add cheese cream and continue the mix process    


  • Next, you add the confectioner's sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract then process it and make it more smooth until 1 minute
  • Make it sure, the frosting really smooth to spread up, And start to spread up the cake
  • Frosting the cake first before serving for easier cutting and delicious taste
